Privacy Policy

This policy describes how JobPrepDesk handles information on this website. It is written for the current product, including Google Analytics 4, optional AI tools, and Google AdSense verification. The site does not require an account.

Information you provide

Tool forms may ask for job titles, resume text, job descriptions, and similar application material. The salary calculator runs in your browser and does not send numbers to our servers. The Resume Bullet Generator, Resume Keyword Matcher, Cover Letter Generator, and Interview Question Generator send the information you submit from our server to OpenAI when you request a result. These tools do not require an account.

The contact form opens a message in your email app addressed to contact@jobprepdesk.com. We receive whatever you choose to send in that email.

Information collected automatically

Hosting providers typically log technical data such as IP address, browser type, and requested URLs to operate and secure the site.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit. Google’s script may collect the page URL, referrer, approximate location, browser, and device information. Google processes that data under its own terms. We do not use Google Analytics to show ads, and we have not linked this property to Google Ads. You can opt out of Analytics in your browser with a Google opt-out add-on or by blocking third-party scripts.

AI processing

When you run one of the AI tools, the text you provide is sent from our server to OpenAI so it can generate the requested draft or analysis. API keys stay on the server and are not exposed in client-side code. This application does not intentionally store generated results in a database. Server logs may record technical usage such as model name, token counts, and estimated cost for operations and cost monitoring. Those logs are not intended to include API keys, resume text, job descriptions, or generated content.

Do not submit information you do not want processed by OpenAI. This page does not describe OpenAI’s own retention, training, or deletion practices. Review OpenAI’s terms and privacy policy if you need those details.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense, or may use it after Google approves the site. Ads may not appear on every page, and they may not appear at all until AdSense review is complete and ads are enabled. This section describes how that advertising can work. It does not mean ads are already showing.

Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, advertising identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads, measure how ads perform, and help prevent invalid traffic or abuse. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your settings, your region, and Google’s own rules. We do not sell your resume text or contact form contents to advertisers.

You can limit cookies and third-party scripts in your browser. You can also review ad personalization in Google Ads Settings. Google explains how it uses information for advertising in its Advertising technologies policy and Privacy Policy. Google Analytics 4, described above, is a separate measurement product. We do not treat Analytics page-view data as an AdSense ad click.

Your choices

You can use the salary calculator without sending form data to us. You can avoid the AI tools if you do not want resume text or job descriptions processed. You can block advertising scripts or change Google ad settings as described above. To ask a privacy question, use the contact page.

Children

The site is intended for adults looking for work. It is not directed at children under 13.
